Simone Biles

Simone Biles (born March 14 1997 Columbus Ohio U.S.) American gymnast who was thought to be one of the sport's greatest athletes. The 2016 Olympics were held at Rio de Janeiro and Biles was the U.S.'s the first gymnast of female gender to win 4 gold medals. She also won the world title for all-around 3 times in succession (2013-15). Biles is from Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) took them in as adoptees. Biles took home a medal for vaulting, and a bronze medal in floor gymnastics at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. The year 2011 saw her begin competing in elite levels of the sport. Within less than two years, she had become the best in her sport. Biles was distinguished by her consistency in performance, vivacious persona, and the difficult routines she performed at the four events she competed in such as vaulting, uneven bars, and balance beam.
